My Complete Tech Stack for Creating Online Courses

OCA Lesson 5 4 web

The “right” systems and tools to use for creating your online course depend on a number of factors such as budget, technical ability, and available resources. So there really isn’t a one size fits all answer.

For example, if you’re just starting your business, creating your first course and aren’t generating revenue yet, then investing in hiring my company to develop your course for $10,000 probably isn’t the right move.

Rather, if someone was in this situation, they’d be much better off joining Online Courses Academy so they could expedite the process and ensure they’re structuring their course the best possible way. My recommendation for someone in this scenario would most likely be this –

create a minimal viable product (MVP), keep tech costs low, and focus on creating your intellectual property and high quality content.

It’s a delicate balance between speed of implementation and still delivering a program that gets your customers results. That’s why I love my Course Creation Blitz process that I teach in OCA because it helps you to master the 80/20.

Now fast forward a year, and if this same person is crushing it, bringing in consistent revenue from their courses, and there’s a strong market demand, THEN it totally makes sense to go pro.

These are the type of clients I love working with on the agency side of my business because I know if they have the subject matter expertise and the influence than I can come in and pour gasoline on the fire and take things to a whole new level.

So with all that said, I’ve put these tools in three different buckets: good, better, and best.

If you’re creating an MVP and looking for the least expensive options the “good” column is for you.

The “better” column is for the middle of the road.

And “best” would be my top recommendations and is what I use for my own online courses and our clients.
