Although there are a lot of moving pieces involved with creating an online course, when you look at it from a big picture perspective, it breaks down into a fairly straightforward three-phase process.

Theses phases include:

Phase 1: Content Creation

There are three main goals of this phase:

1. Validate your idea - You want to be sure you are going to see an ROI on all your effort so it's critical to do your due diligence and ensure there is a market for your course.

2. Outline and structure - Turn your knowledge and experience into a well-structured course.

3. Create high-quality content - Once your course is thoroughly outlined you can move onto actually creating the course content. This involves creating your video lessons, worksheets, and any other content you plan to include in your program.

One of the reasons why creating and launching a course can become overwhelming is that there’s uncertainty around what exactly needs to be done and who’s doing what.

The following information will help you gain clarity on exactly what's involved with each stage of the course creation process. This insight will allow you to plan and allocate resources accordingly.

The first piece of the puzzle is to understand the roles and responsibilities that need to be filled. If you’re creating and launching your course all on your own your name will be next to each role. If you’re an established business that’s planning a full scale launch with all the bells and whistles then I’d advise hiring experts for each of these roles.

Content Creator

Typically the course owner will take on this responsibility. However, if budget permits, often times an instructional designer is hired to help structure the course content in a more efficient, effective, and appealing.

Sales Funnel Implementor

Sales funnels are built in a marketing automation system such as Infusionsoft. At a minimum you will need the following campaigns:

Ad/Analytics Manager

Implements and manages the ad strategy.

 Investment:  $3,500 (Chicago Office) $7,500 (Onsite)

A full day strategic planning session where we'll conduct a full audit and refine your course structure, product suite strategy, offer strategy, and launch strategy.
